Producer Notes: Victor Ramos is an iconic 4th generation mezcalero in the district of Miahuatlán, deep in Oaxaca’s southern range. He and his son, Emanuel, together produce some of the most incredible mezcales to cross the US border, under several highly-regarded mezcal labels – most notably as part of Mezcaloteca’s core stable since its inception. Drawing upon their long history together, Marco Ochoa has here bottled some of Victor’s finest work. A blend of four rare agave, perfectly balanced to highlight a touch each unique fingerprint: black pepper, salted caramel, dark cacao, damp leaves, tobacco, pear skin, peanut shells, and somehow a note of fresh Belgian waffles all swirl together, distinct yet harmonious. 49.1%
