Foursquare 2010, 12-Year Single Blended Rum (Barbados)

p>Producer Notes: A 12-year aged single blended rum, consisting of both artisanal pot and traditional twin column coffey distilled molasses rums. Aged entirely in ex-bourbon barrels.

A full-bodied, yet deceptively elegant sipper especially at full proof with a long, pleasing finish. On the nose, notes of spice and orange, star anise and vanilla give way to red licorice, marasca cherries and dark chocolate. Elegant and lengthy on the palate, opening with clove, cinnamon and baking spices, balanced by fresh black plums, stone fruits, bananas foster, caramel, and a hint of pineapple and toasted pine nuts.
