Producer Notes: The Sassenach Select is the first collaboration between the award-winning El Tequileno and The Sassenach Spirits teams. Antonio “Tony” Salles met with Scottish actor and spirit aficionado Sam Heughan (OUTLANDER) on several trips to Mexico. “Creating this blend first began with us enjoying The Sassenach whisky, (Scottish Blended Whisky)” says Salles. Though literally a world apart, the two combined their cultures and shared passion for creating exceptional spirits to do this new blend justice.

The Sassenach Select is handcrafted using the finest matured agave from the Highlands of Jalisco and mineral-rich water from Volcán de Tequila, distilled in traditional copper pot stills, aged for two years in American oak barrels, and finished for four months in French oak barrels.

These attributes form the foundation of The Sassenach Select’s unique character and exceptional, unparalleled taste.

AROMA: Aromas of rich cooked agave, vanilla, light caramel and citrus.

TASTE: Caramel popcorn, light toasty oak, sweet spices, cooked agave and herbal notes on the palate.

ENJOY: It is best enjoyed neat, on the rocks or in a specialized tequila glass.
