Real Minero Arroqueno "BATCH NO. ARMA-04" 2020 (Mexico) 750ML
Producer Notes: Big news! Arroqueño (Agave americana) are massive, beautiful plants which can take as much as 20 years to reach maturity before harvest. Arroqueño from the Ángeles family is particularly sought-after; the late Don Lorenzo exported just one bottling of the variety to the US, in 2015, and it earned a cult status among enthusiasts in Mexico and the States alike. This release marks the first Arroqueño from Real Minero since Don Lorenzo’s passing in 2016, the first distilled by his son Edgar – and also notably the only batch of Arroqueño Ancestral from the family ever released. At a whopping 53.1% ABV with only 244 liters produced, this is an exciting return of a beloved mezcal, and a passing of the torch from one generation to another.
