Producer Notes: (LIMITED EDITION) The Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) is one of the most important estivities in Mexico because Mexicans honor their dead with a joyful and positive celebration, now turned into a fantastic popular holiday. The conception of life and death, as well as all the traditions and ancient beliefs that revolve around the subject, is a characteristic that distinguishes Mexicans from the rest of the world. On November 1st and 2nd, Mexicans go to the cemeteries and make offerings to celebrate these deaths.

The Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) celebration is divided into two parts: November 1st, which is All Saints Day, celebrates all the saints who had an exemplary life. November 2nd is the actual Day of the Dead celebration at the cemetery graves, adorned in an abundance of flowers. Family and friends choose to harness and release their emotions in this extended stay, often spending the night while awaiting their dead´s soul to find their way back to earth. The goal is to remember and celebrate loved ones who are no longer with us. And that tradition continues year after year.
