Champagne Deutz Rose Brut Classic NV (France) 750ML

93PTS T.P.

Producer Notes: This has a many-hued color with strong pink tinges and fine bubbles. The nose is fresh and direct, with aromas reminiscent of cherries, blackberries, pomegranates and red currants. On the palate, the wine shows a deliciously full body that follows on perfectly from the nose. Its flavors remind one of fresh strawberries and raspberries. The finish has a pleasantly acidulous character that adds to the impression of finesse given by this romantic and well-balanced wine.

Tasting Panel, 93 Points: "Light salmon color; soft raspberry nose; crisp, juicy and long; elegant, fresh and nicely balanced; stylish and lovely."

Wine Spectator, 91 Points: "A vibrant backbone of acidity defines this harmonious rosé, with the satiny texture carrying a subtle mix of blood orange, slivered almond, pink grapefruit zest and smoke notes. Drink through 2019. 11,000 cases made."

Jame Suckling, 91 Points: "Showcasing a wealth of sweet-smelling strawberry fruit aromas and rose perfumes, this has an attractive, direct style to it. The palate's fleshy and directly flavored with red berry fruits, handy depth and drive and a fresh cherry finish."

Wine Advocate, 90 Points: "The NV Rose Brut offers a very clear, fresh and delicate bouquet of floral aromas and red fruits. On the palate, this is a light, fresh, finesse-full and delicately fruity Rose of great purity and elegance. The dosage is perfectly balanced. This cuvée is based on 2012 and 10-15% reserve wines from 2011; it blends 80% Pinot Noir with 20% Chardonnay. The pink color comes from 7-9% Mareuil-sur-Ay red wine."
