The Walls, Bellamy BDX Blend, Red Wine 2018 (Walla Walla, WA)
Producer Notes: The name Bellamy is taken from “Belle Amie,” or beautiful friend and features the object of Stanley’s affection on the label, where he can be seen on the outside of the wall, handing her a bouquet of flowers.
Jeb Dunnuck, 95 Points: “Checking in as 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Malbec and Petit Verdot, the 2018 Bellamy has a medium to full-bodied, soft, approachable texture as well as lovely earthy tobacco, lavender, leafy herb, mint, and cassis aromas and flavors. A wine that builds beautifully with time in the glass, it has terrific balance, remarkable purity of fruit, and a great finish. I love it today, yet it should benefit from just a year or two in bottle, and my money is on it keeping for two decades.”
