Winery Tasting Notes: “We were hunting for an image to complete our Tre Leoni package upgrade and this bold view of artist Jacqui Oakley’s oil on canvas painting kept stalking us. The vivid colors and focused eye of the lion not only impress, but also tell the story of what is in the bottle: it is a bold, impressive, focused wine loaded with vivid aromas, flavors, and texture. This blend has amazing depth, balance, and big flavors. The nose evokes candied black fruit, red currants, stewed black plums, licorice, and dried sage. On the palate, it bursts with fresh blackberries, crème de cassis, dark chocolate, and mixed berry jam. This wine has great texture that ultimately finishes with round, silky smooth tannins.
